LOGO DESIGN AND ANIMATION for a Japanese themed game show project (an MTSU student’s senior production project). I designed the logo in Illustrator. I then converted the vector to 3D in Unreal Engine, textured, and animated an opening logo reveal. I added music and a background for previsualization, as I was told the logo would be used over drone footage.

TEAMWORK: I worked with a team under a lead motion graphics artist, and we all reported to the student director of the game show project. I provided a group of logo options, from which the director selected one and requested certain colors. I took creative input from the director as I worked on the logo animation; for example, he wanted the logo to exit the screen in some way, so I had the logo fly toward the viewer off the screen (a move I called “the headbutt.”)

ADDITIONAL MOTION GRAPHICS: The director needed bold numbers to emphasize each countdown in the production. Keeping similar branding, I designed the number motion graphic. I presented it over a stock photo as previsualization.

MOVIE OPENING TITLE SEQUENCE for horror movie idea. I shot all footage and stills, selected music, edited with Photoshop and AfterEffects, animated text in AfterEffects.

TEXT COMPOSITING in AfterEffects, using motion tracking and a software light source to create the illusion of 3D (aka 2.5D).

ANIMATED TEXT using Illustrator and AfterEffects, humorously bringing to life a peculiar voice mail message.
